Thunderobot Gaming Laptops Lands in Malaysia

Known as a leading brand of gaming laptops in China, Thunderobot makes its first ever appearance in Malaysia. Thunderobot also brings forth its flagship gaming laptop, the Thunderobot DINO, along with three other gaming laptops, the Thunderobot 911GT, the 911SE and the ST Plus.

Thunderobot DINO

Adopting a futuristic spaceship design, DINO is Thunderobot’s flagship gaming laptop with a space-grey metal chassis. DINO houses the 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor along with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPU with 8GB GDDR5 VRAM.

There are also other variations of the Dino, which carries the GTX 1060 as well as the GTX 1050 Ti GPU as well. Of course, why would you want to downgrade when you can go the full nine yards? It can store up to 32GB DDR4 memory as well as giving you the option between an M.2 or SATA SSD.

DINO is also capable of providing an immersive virtual reality (VR) gaming experience, which is great for for gamers who are looking for the next level in gaming immersion.

All this is supported with a 15.6-inch full HD IPS display with 300 nits of brightness. Not only does it deliver on deeper blacks, it also promises vivid colours in rich detail, ensuring your games get the full experience it rightfully deserves.

With the help of an HDMI 2.0 port, you can plug the DINO into a 4K monitor with a 60Hz refresh rate. You can also daisy chain with the DINO, thanks to the use of a Mini DisplayPort 1.3 and a USB-C 3.1 port.

At its core, DINO features an enhanced thermal design with dual fans and four free conduction copper heat pipes. This provides stability and maximum air cooling efficiency, which promises you a full night of silent, yet responsive gaming.

As always, the keyboard of the DINO will feature RGB lighting, which can be configured to your preference. To sweeten the deal, there is also up to 16.8 million colours to choose from for different zones on the keyboard.

DINO is retailling at RM8,899.

Thunderobot 911GT

Bearing a similar name to a popular model of a sports car, the 911GT is the largest of the four gaming laptops from Thunderobot, carrying a 17.3-inch Full HD IPS display. It offers a 178° wide view display, giving you greater depth when gaming.

The 911GT also carries the 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor with the GTX 1060 GPU. Like DINO, the 911GT can accommodate up to 32GB DDR4 memory as well as either an M.2 or SATA SSD drive.

Also like DINO, the 911GT comes with a professional-level gaming keyboard attached to its chassis, which are backlit with a soft white glow. It also features the same thermal design as DINO with dual fans and four copper heat sinks for better heat dissipation.

What makes the 911GT a great gaming laptop? It’s audio quality, featuring an integrated subwoofer. Great for FPS and action-adventure games, the 911GT dishes out deep and immersive bass with a thumping kick.

The 911GT is retailling at RM7,099.

Thunderobot 911SE

The 911SE may adopt a similar name to the 911GT, but it also carries a familiar display, standing at 15.6-inches in a Full HD IPS panel. It also supports multiple displays with the help of an HDMI 2.0 port.

Beneath the surface likes the Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor with two GPU variants: either the GTX 1050 Ti or the 1050. You can take your pick on whichever option suits your fancy. The 911SE can also support up to 32GB DDR4 memory, and either an M.2 or SATA SSD drive.

Design-wise, the 911SE adopts a unique polygon edge design with a wedge line, making it a distinct feature from the rest. Even the Thunderobot logo at the back of the laptop is covered in breathing LED, to show you that it’s alive.

Audio is also a key selling point for the 911SE, equipped with a SOund Blaster X-FI MB5 sound card. It promises to deliver on premium audio quality as well as life-like gameplay, thus rendering the need for a pair of headphones useless.

The 911SE is retailing at RM4,499, aiming towards the entry- to mid-range gaming laptop market.

Thunderobot ST Plus

The last of the Thunderobot line-up coming to Malaysia, the ST Plus is another gaming laptop that is aimed towards the entry- to mid-range gaming laptop market without compromising on performance.

It houses the Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, up to 32GB of DDR4 memory and the GTX 1050 Ti GPU. Much like the other Thunderobot gaming laptops, the ST Plus also gives you the option between an M.2 or SATA SSD drive.

Because RGB lighting isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, the ST Plus will also feature a full RGB backlit keyboard with 16 million lighting designs. It will also have a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panel to make gaming all the more inviting.

Taking a page out of the 911SE’s book, the ST Plus also comes with a Sound Blaster X-FI MB5 sound card to give you thumping bass and crystal clear clarity.

The ST Plus is retailing at RM4,899.

All these gaming laptops from Thunderobot are now available through ECS Malaysia, as well as other official distributors like Lazada, Thunder Match Technology and Brightstar Computer to name a few.
