A new project on Kickstarter for a pair of extraordinary gaming headphones just turned up. They’re called ‘Booster One’, and they use custom hardware and software to add a new dimension of control to games. A gyroscope embedded within the aluminium housing detects your head movements, to be used as in-game commands.
Examples provided by the people behind this project include looking around a car while racing, controlling an aircraft’s direction and using Special Attacks. But the possibilities are endless as the controls can be customised.
Here are some of its features:
- Aluminium construction.
- Built-in noise cancelling microphone.
- Control settings that are customizable with an application.
- Precise gameplay control based on gyroscopic technology.
- Three-way adjustable headband to fit the shape and size of any head.
- No WiFi or Bluetooth connection: only wire, eliminating all delays.
- Comfortable for use over long periods (2+ hours).
- Control Unit for gyro sensitivity, as well as headphone and microphone volume levels
