The company’s first venture into the quad camera scene is a gift to us all.
Here at LiveatPC.com, we get all sorts of tech gadgets coming our way week in week out. Of course, most of these gadgets comprise of the latest smartphones. Now, we’ve pretty much seen it all. Sometimes, we’re impressed and other times, we’re not. When it comes to the mid-range smartphone market, the competition is stiff. The market is over saturated with brands left right and center claiming to sport the best mid-range device.
All that is great and all, but it’s rare that a mid-range device surprises us; especially when it comes to the quality of photos it produces. So imagine our surprise when we messed around with the realme 5 Pro to find that its camera is actually quite good. To be fair, we had low expectations but regardless, given that the price of the device is RM1099, we’re blown away.
Check out the photos for yourself below:
Who doesn’t love money, right? This device takes some pretty sick macro shots of our Ringgit notes. Why spend RM3000 or so on a P30 Pro when you can take similar looking shots for 1/3 the price?
We Malaysians love our food, and when it comes to food photography, it’s almost as if the realme 5 pro is Malaysian. Just look at how good that chicken looks.. mmm.
When it comes to the zoom, it holds it’s own pretty well. Given it’s price, it actually beat out some of the other phones that were priced above it as well. The loss of quality in the 5x zoom is minimal, which is impressive given how the other phones in the range did.
Of course, The device comes with a night mode as well, allowing it to take excellent shots in low light.
Maybe it’s unfair of us to rave about an aspect that is supposedly the device’s strongest selling point, but we’ve seen so many brands boast about how good their phone camera’s are only for it to turn out to be a major disappointment. The realme 5 Pro marks the first time the company is messing around with a quad camera setup, and we’re really liking what we see.
