The Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro was officially announced in Europe and it’s already listed on the Xiaomi Global Store, where it’ll be available for order from 26 Aug 2019 23:59. As expected, it’s basically a rehashed version of the Redmi K20 Pro which was already available in other parts of the world. The Mi 9T Pro is a higher spec version of the Mi 9T, and comes with a more powerful Snapdragon 855 processor.
Based on the European price, €399 (RM 1,847) for the 6GB/64GB variant, we can expect it somewhere in that range. The 6GB/128GB version is going for €449 (RM 2078), so there’s that too. But my guess is going to be RM 1799, or RM 1700 in Malaysia for the base spec version.
We don’t know the official pricing yet, but that’ll probably change in a couple of days when it actually releases. Some of the major specs of the phone of course, is the 855 Snapdragon processor, 48 MP AI Triple Camera, the same 6.39″ Full HD+ AMOLED display as the Mi 9T, and 4000 mAh battery. They’ve also introduced a new heating mechanism, which use 8 layers of graphite to dissipate heat. Check out what they had to say about it;
“Our custom cooling design uses 8 layers of graphite on the front to dissipate heat 650% more effectively. In the rear, heat-transmitting gel, graphite and copper keep the CPU running fast for a high and stable frame rate throughout every battle.”
Safe to say, this version is a step up from the Mi 9T, and not for that much more. We’ll have to see how it actually performs when we get it in hand, but I’ve got a feeling, it’ll be pretty good. To check out more about the phone’s capabilites, check out the link here!
