This means that the battery is so slim and so tightly packed that the lithium ion battery’s positive charge and negative charge can leak to each other quite easily if there is a puncture between the plastics that separates them. That is why the name is “short-circuit” due to the circuit, which is suppose to be longer to function properly, being cut short and causing a havoc or a fire in the system.
Not to mention that lithium ion liquid is highly flammable as well. But according to Finegan, what makes a battery great at powering gadgets also makes them vulnerable and easy to catch fire as well. So if you have a Samsung Galaxy Note 7, return it for a refund quickly.
