The Mandalorian adds a couple of familiar faces to its series in season 2, one of whom will be playing a fan-favourite character.
One of them’s had a character that travelled to the past to save a woman from a cyborg. That’s right, it’s none other than veteran actor Michael Biehn himself.
Biehn is best known for portraying Kyle Reese in The Terminator (1984), alongside Linda Hamilton. Aside from that, though, he has played other roles in movies like Aliens (1986) and The Abyss (1989).
He has also been involved in a fair share of TV shows, such as Adventure (2002 – 2003), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001 – 2011), Criminal Minds (2005 – 2020), and now, The Mandalorian.
Information remains scarce as what role he’ll exactly be playing on the series. It’s only known that he’ll be portraying a bounty hunter.
Whether he’s a bounty hunter the Mandolorian meets during his travels or someone from his past remains to be seen.
So who’s the other cast member?
A couple of days earlier, it was also reported that Rosario Dawson is set to portray Ahsoka Tano. Her character is an apprentice of Anakin Skywalker before the Jedi were purged.
Dawson has long been very outspoken about playing the character in recent years. Fans echoed her sentiment and were overjoyed to hear her casting.
Dawson has quite a portfolio herself, with roles in Men In Black II (2002), Sin City (2005), as well as her portrayal as Claire Temple in Marvel’s Netflix shows.
The character, Ahsoka Tano herself had always been in animated shows only. This marks her first outing in live-action.
Again, details remain scarce as to what her role will be in The Mandalorian, though it’s possible she will be heavily involved with The Child.
Fortunately, The Mandalorian season 2 already wrapped production earlier this month. It has set a release date for October 2020.
