Now, it is making another mark in the industry with the unveiling of the first wireless Bluetooth stereo headset with active noise-cancellation (ANC) technology called the Voyager Focus UC. The technology reduces noise and distraction in open, collaborative and remote workspaces.
The headset is designed specifically for enterprise workers in an open office or other loud environments because it reduces many high frequency noises as well as low frequency sounds like air conditioners.
As Rich Costello, senior research analyst, IDC said “No one can dispute the positive impact a great audio experience has on effective communications and collaboration. But audio experiences are increasingly being challenged, especially as traditional office environments expand to include workers in more remote and non-traditional, open-office environments that introduce more external noise factors.
Three precisely-tuned microphones and noise-cancelling algorithms are utilised to reduce noises coming from typing the keyboard, people talking nearby and movements, while at the same time optimizes voice intelligibility. The other person on the line will only ear the wearer’s voice and not their surroundings.
It is also very comfortable with leatherette ear cushions enveloped around pilow-soft memory foam. The Voyager Focus UC also has an intuitive smart sensor technology to adapt to the user experience and wearing style. For example, you can answer a call simply by putting on the headset and pause mobile audio when it is taken off. Plantronics also extended the Bluetopth range on the device up to 150 feet, while preserving battery life.
Another innovation from Plantronics is its Dynamic Mute Alert technology, which detects when speech is made and alerts the user that the mute functionis still active. On top of that, the headset will automatically mute when the headset is not in use and unmute when it’s put back on.
