Tesla Shuts Down Model 3 Production For A Week

Tesla has opted to shut down its Model 3 production for a week, after continuous automation issues on the line. Elon Musk himself called for the decision to improve the automated parts of the production cycle.

Ironically, this comes after Musk said that issues regarding the Tesla 3 might have been due to over-dependence on automation. Musk himself had just only recently taken over control of the production line from former Apple executive Doug Field. Neither Tesla nor Musk have stated what what the attempted improvements are.

The electric vehicle manufacturers have given factory employees an ultimatum of either an unpaid week or use vacation time. This comes on the back of a long history of Tesla mistreating their factory workers.

Hopefully, Tesla manages to fix the issues with their production line. This shutdown isn’t the first in Tesla’s attempt to put out the Model 3; if this fails to address the issues it might spell the end for Tesla Motors.
