New SSD Storage from Western Digital Focuses on Photographers

After a bunch of quiet acquisitions and integrating various technologies, Western Digital focuses – finally – on its newest device offerings. This includes the next-gen SSD storage options for the WD My Passport and SanDisk SSD lines.

These new portable storage offerings from Western Digital focuses on providing intuitive media management for avid photographers. This includes drone enthusiasts and those who need durable and high performance content capture systems.

Alongside the new WD and SanDisk entries, the storage expert also showcases its G-Technology line-up. This range from Western Digital focuses specifically on large enterprises and businesses with critical backup needs.

First up is the WD My Passport Wireless SSD (2018). This WD My Passport Wireless is a big step up as it offers various data management and protection capabilities. Apart from offering different storage capacity flavours, this next-gen device will be able to last; on top of that, it offers hyper-fast data transfer speeds. This is all thanks to the SSD sitting inside the rugged chassis.

Advance features include the built-in SD card-reader and all-day battery life. Adding in the fun factor is how it can also wireless stream 4K content to smart devices.

Similarly as tough is the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD. For this device, Western Digital focuses on creating a ultra-compact and exceptionally tough storage system. The latter includes shock protection and IP55 rating against water and dust.
