SOOP VALORANT League 2024 Returns With US$80,000 Prize Pool

SOOP has announced the return of its highly anticipated SOOP VALORANT League (SVL), set to take place from 10 to 15 December 2024 at the Sangam SOOP Colosseum in Seoul, South Korea. The rebranded tournament, formerly the AfreecaTV VALORANT League, will feature eight elite teams, including VCT Americas’ Sentinels and NRG, as well as Gen.G and DRX from the Pacific region, and teams from Thailand and Vietnam qualifiers.

With a US$80,000 prize pool at stake, the competition promises to bring high-intensity action as teams battle through a double-elimination group stage before advancing to a single-elimination playoff and culminating in a best-of-five grand final.

SOOP will exclusively produce and broadcast the event across five languages, including English, Korean, Mandarin, Thai, and Vietnamese. Viewers can also enjoy co-streaming opportunities through SOOP’s platform.

This year’s SVL builds on SOOP’s growing presence in the esports scene, having partnered with Riot Games to organise and produce VALORANT Challengers tournaments in Southeast Asia. SOOP has also introduced an auto-translated subtitle feature, breaking down language barriers and enhancing accessibility for global fans.
