Sony brings three new variations of wireless headphones, upgraded with new features for its 1000x series.
The popular MDR1000x gets a generation 2 WH-1000xM2. Along with this release, the 1000x series also gets a true wireless in-ear WF-1000x and a behind the neck version WI-1000x, designed for commuters and travellers. The WH-1000xM2 and WI-1000x comes with ‘Atmospheris Pressure Optimising’, using sensors to detect air pressure for optimising Noise Cancelling feature.
Pairing with the new release of headphones is a new Sony | Headphones Connect app, allowing for ‘Adaptive Sound Control’ feature, offering Noise Cancelling and ambient sound preference to suit different environments. Integrated with Sony’s Sense Engine technology, the app is designed to give users a personalised experience tailored to individual needs.
WH-1000xM2
Bringing the best from MDR-1000x, the second generation WH-1000xM2 features noice cancelling, combined with Ambient Sound mode, Personal NC Optimiser and Quick Attention mode, enabling users to toggle each mode quickly without having to stop their music or take off their headphones. For travellers frequently flying, the Atmospheric Pressure Optimising feature analyses surrounding pressure, improving the noise cancelling performance for better comfort during flight.
The headphones can last 40 hours with an audio cable, or 30 hours wirelessly; the Quick Charge function gives 70 mins of battery life with 10 minutes of charging.
The WH-1000xM2 will be available 19th November, retailing at RM1,599.
WF-1000x
New to the lineup, the WF-1000x is a pair of wireless in-ear buds delivering music through a 6mm driver. The ear buds power on automatically after being removed from the case and connects to the last paired device. Giving up to 9 hours of music, the case also acts as a portable charger.
The WF-1000x will be available 19th November, retailing at RM899.
WI-1000x
This lineup also features a behind-the neck variation, this headphones comes with noise cancelling capabilities. Supporting sound features such a High Resolution Audio, LDACm DSEE HX and S-Master HX, the headphones are fitted with a hybrid driver unit with BA and 9mm dynamic driver. With Atmospheric Pressure Optimising, this headphone is optimised for flights, like the WH-1000xM2. It gives up to 10 hours of battery life with noise cancelling turned on, while giving 14 hours of noise cancelling with a wired audio connection. The WI-1000x’s design includes a zip-style cable management and vibration alerts for incoming calls.
The WI-1000x will be available 19th November, retailing at RM1,499.
