According to a survey by Circles.Life, half of the 900 Singaporean respondents admitted that they could not last more than a day without mobile data. With the respondents’ age being between 16 to 54 years of age, two thirds of them stated that they need at least 6GB of data each month.
Despite that, the average data plan available in the country is around 3.5GB, making Singaporeans ‘deprived of mobile data’. The survey also showed that 90% of the respondents were frustrated in wanting more data.
Meanwhile, North Americans are forecasted to use an average of 6.9GB per month by the end of this year, which is a 50% growth from last June. With the growth seen in online activity recently, the number is predicted to keep growing and reach 26GB within the next five years.
