Shenmue I & II HD Remaster Launches in August

If you’re eagerly awaiting the return of Ryo Hazuki in Shenmue III, here’s a chance to refresh your memory. The remaster of Shenmue I and II launches in less than two months on 21st August 2018. The game will be available physically and digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Starting now, fans can pre-order Shenmue I and II digitally on PSN, Xbox Marketplace, and Steam. As an incentive, there will be a 10% discount ahead of the game’s release. If you buy the game from Steam, for instance, the game will cost RM115.20 instead of RM128.

Unfortunately, the physical edition is only available for pre-order from US and EMEA retailers, so you’ll have to work on importing if you’re from anywhere else. Still, it comes complete with a double-sided poster starring fan-favourite characters, as well as reversible cover art featuring original artwork.

If you’re new to the series, there’s no better time to witness a gripping story of retribution as Ryo Hazuki sets out to avenge his father’s death. As this happens, he also attempts to unravel the secrets behind a mysterious artefact known as the Dragon Mirror.

The re-release will contain all-new modernised features including a fully scalable screen resolution, choice of modern or classic control schemes, PC graphics options, an updated user interface, as well as choice between Japanese or English voiceovers.
