The name Seeburger might not ring many bells, but the company has been one of the leading global business integration and enterprise class Managed File Transfer (MFT) solution providers for several years now. They have been largely unknown outside of the specialty market for business-platform data integration, but this is about to change with the opening of a regional ASEAN headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The location was chosen for its strategic value as the regional transportation hub. Managing Director for Asia Pacific, James Hatcher, explains that the daily flights out of the country allow him and his team to be where he needs to be without delay. Kuala Lumpur was also selected due to the location being more cost effective than other capital cities in the ASEAN region. This is mainly due to the superior domain expertise provided by the local community.

There is also the recently implemented Cybersecurity regulations that require some 200 national companies meet strict ISO 27001 security protocols. These companies are required to comply with the regulations by 2013 and Seeburger, through its strategic local partners Time Engineering Berhad and Datamation (M) Sdn Bhd, intends to offer their solutions to achieve the goal.
