Samsung Electronics Singapore has announced the launch of the 9100 PRO in Malaysia, its first consumer SSD series supporting PCIe 5.0. With sequential read and write speeds of up to 14,800 MB/s and 13,400 MB/s, respectively, the 9100 PRO is Samsung’s fastest consumer SSD to date.
Available in 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB capacities, the SSD caters to high-performance users, including professional creators handling AI-based content and gamers seeking extreme performance. The SSD features a 49% improvement in power efficiency compared to its predecessor and includes an advanced heat management solution.
The 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB models come with an 8.8mmT heatsink, while the 8TB version features an 11.25mmT heatsink, Samsung’s first NVMe SSD with expanded storage capacity. Samsung Magician software support is included for data migration, drive monitoring, and firmware updates.
The 9100 PRO will be available from April 4, 2025 via Samsung’s online and official stores on Lazada and Shopee, with the 8TB model arriving in June 2025. Prices start at RM679 for the 1TB version.
