One of the biggest concerns of consumers when it comes to purchasing a smartphone now a days, is the battery. The bigger the battery, the better. But something else people don’t think of as much when considering what phone to get, his how fast it charges. Okay think about it in this way, does it matter if your phone drops off to 20% faster, but you could charge it back to 80% in 30 minutes? That’s what rumours are suggesting at least, for Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10. Notorious twitter ‘leaker’, @UniverseIce suggests that the Note 10 battery will feature more than 25w charging. He previously had mentioned that the phone would feature 25w charging, but in his latest statement, changed his mind.

What this practically means is that the Note 10 could possibly have 50w charging, as a result. He mentions that battery capacity and charging speed will no longer be Samsung’s weakness or advantages. What this means, we’re not really sure. But if the Note 10 were to feature 50w charging, it would be quite a feat. Right now, Huawei’s 55w SuperCharge technology charges 0% – 85% in 30 minutes, so we can use that as a frame of reference for the Note 10. Other companies and brands have capitalised on the fast charging phenomenon, and if Samsung is to follow in their footsteps, remains to be seen. But at least now, we’re a little hopeful.
