Samsung have released their latest earnings report, and in it, has dropped some juicy juicy information for us. They have seemingly confirmed their plans to launch the Galaxy Fold 2 and the Galaxy Note 20 in the second half of this year. Considering that we’ve been hearing talks of a delay, this is good news for Samsung fans. The Covid-19 pandemic has effected the smartphone manufacturing industry with phones left and right being delayed, or launching online via a live-stream.
Less than ideal situation for everyone. Samsung on the other hand, seems confident in their ability to bring these two new phones to market with minimal-to-no delay.
Samsung also mentions that market competition will intensify as other brands look to recover lost ground in the first half of the year. They then mentioned they would be launching “new foldable and Note models.” Keep in mind the ‘s’ in models there, hinting at something that’s been rumoured to be multiple Galaxy Note 20 models in the lineup. Maybe a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra? On the other hand, they have also seemingly confirmed that there will be only one new foldable device in the coming year.
They usually release an upgrade to their flagship the Galaxy Note series in August, so we could be seeing these two new lineups then.
Samsung also stated they have plans to bring more affordable 5G phones by the end of the year, which could help decrease the prices of upcoming 5G flagships all around.
