For Samsung Galaxy S9 users, Samsung’s AR Emoji hasn’t exactly been the talk of the town. Still, that hasn’t stopped the brand from making improvements to the feature with an upcoming update. New additions include improved facial tracking, as well further customization options to capture your individuality.

According to Samsung’s blog post, AR Emoji’s face-tracking function will see a 65-percent increase in ‘landmark detector’ points. This essentially means that key areas such as your eyes and mouth will be tracked more precisely.

With the update, after you snap a selfie to generate an AR Emoji, you can easily make detailed adjustments to the AR Emoji’s hair, ears, and facial features. This means that, for instance, when a child creates an AR Emoji, they’ll be able to adjust the shape of their face so that it more closely mirrors their own. A new My Emoji Editor function also gets added, offering tools to make adjustments to the eyes, nose, lips, and cheeks of your AR emoji.

The update will also feature a frame rate boost, which should improve the smoothness in how your AR Emoji mimics you.
