After taking the lead role for different arms in the communications group, with the latest being  Telekom Malaysia Group CEO, Mohammed Shazalli Ramly, is expected to step down from this position.

While this is rumour, coming from sources that Bloomberg managed to contact, the confirmation is set to appear in the coming days.

At press time, there is no way to contact Telekom Malaysia to get any hints. Shazalli, during his tenure as Telekom Malaysia Group CEO, is originally tapped on to turn around the telco. Just like how he did for Celcom Berhad and Axiata Group Berhad.

Calls to Telekom Malaysia have been unanswered. Thus far, attempts to contact Shazalli directly is not successful.
