Gaming tournaments are lining up in Malaysia with the biggest prize money of RM1 million in January 2017 is dangled for ESL One International Gaming that’s taking place in Genting Highlands. PC.com was also informed by E Sports that it will be lining-up a series of events before next years AGES which was first held this year successfully. We will see more tournaments before the year ends, and the one taking place in Johor Bharu will pique CS:GO players attention.

PGL and eGG Network under Astro will be organising the CS:GO Minor Championship ASIA, which will take place at Pinewood Iskandar Studios in Johor Bahru, Malaysia on October 28-30th, 2016. The event will feature eight of the best teams in the region, with a RM200,000 ($50,000) pool money made available. The tournament will use the Valve official versions of the maps in the Active Duty Map Group.

The top winners will further get privileged for a spot in the offline qualifier for the next CS:GO Major (ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017). Already of the eight teams, teams TyLoo and Renegades have already received direct invite to the playoff, while the other six squads which will make up the tournament’s groups will be selected via open qualifiers. Slots are available by each region with China, East Asia, India and Middle East, Oceania, all getting one slot while Southeast Asia will get 2 slots.

Fans can catch the tournament live over twitch and eGG Network, talents in the sports will be heading down to Johor this year, and both PGL and eGG will be bringing more such events. Pinewood Iskandar offers top class facilities for such activities
