This is the first time I’ve ever reviewed a smartphone from Vivo, I thought it would be interesting to do this review without looking up any specifications or other thoughts about the smartphone since I’ve never held on before. I was surprised at the outcome, given that I had no expectations going in. Was it a pleasant experience? Read on to find out my findings.
A Nice Fit
Starting off with the exterior the Vivo V3 is not what I expected when it comes to design and quality. in my opinion, the materials ised to make this smartphone was carefully chosen and had a certain quality to it. The design looks sleek and sophisticated – quite a different take as compare to other smartphones with similar price points and market segment. The smartphone comes with a bumper case for added protection, ad addition that fits the device well. I like that it was incuded with the phone as going through the hassle to find the perfect casing is something I don’t enjoy.
Go Go Go, Keep it Up!
Not only does the Vivo V3 fit good in hand, I really enjoyed using it. The performance of the phone was quite unexpected – I was able to play my games with great performance without any issues of lag! I also liked the steady 5GHz Wi-Fi connection. Not all smartphones are equipped with AC Wi-Fi connection, and I was pleased that the Vivo V3 came with the feature.
When I tested out its fingerprint feature, it surprised me again with its turbo fingerprint unlocking speed. After wrapping up my tests, I found that this feature is one of its main selling points, proving that its words are backed with facts.
Its speaker is positioned at the bottom of the phone, and not at the back. The sound emitted was clear and crisp. With the positioning of the speakers, the quality of sound should not be interrupted by the surface it’s on.
Time for Anti-Climax
So far everything has been awesome and great. I did, however, find minor flaw. Its display was not very rich, slightly dull I would say, You will not get vivid image or video playbacks on this device.
Its price may also be a little premium compared with its competitors, for what it is offerring. Vivo may face problems fending off its competitor, but in my opinion, it is worth the price for such a great and steady performing smartphone.
