When I was told of the Flash Plus 2, I actually thought they were talking about DC’s favourite scarlet speedster, the Flash and his sidekicks, Wally West and Bart Allen. Although, Flash Plus 2 isn’t the fastest man alive, it is however the fastest smartphone to be introduced into the market. It definitely won’t break the sound barrier but if it means we as users will have a faster smartphone to quickly capture selfies, reply messages, and juice our device even quicker than before, that sounds like a pretty sweet deal.
Don’t Bother Breaking the Bank
With its polished look and metallic body, it’s hard to believe the Flash Plus 2 from Alcatel would not actually cost you an arm and a leg. At only RM599, the Flash Plus 2 is perfect for both students and fresh graduates; they can now afford a stylish and sleek smartphone without having to sustain on bread and water for the next few months.
Steady Hands Don’t Fail Me Now
The curved edges provided a more comfortable and safe hold, allowing for clumsy people like me to be more confident with holding the device in our butterfingers without it slipping off. What I love about the Flash Plus 2 is the subtle writing of its name at the back of the device, always bringing me back to one of Queen’s famous songs about a certain hero in space.
Made for the Gram
If you’re like every other millennial, chances are you’re social media savvy with Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram being your means of communicating with people you may or may not know. Pictures of outfits, food, selfies, wefies, and God know what else floods your wall and topped off with filters to give the impression that you are a ‘legitimate’ photographer.
If this perfectly describes you, then you are in for a treat. Now you can capture crystal clear perfect images at any time of the day with the Flash Plus 2. Its Dual-colour RealTone can produce up to 64 different lighting combinations, giving you the perfect image even in horrible lighting. Your selfie game will also be on point thanks to the LED Flash with high Colour Rendering Index (CRI) located on the front-facing camera.
It is the Fastest Charger Alive
We live in an era where smartphones are essentially our entire lives; our daily activities and routines are constantly documented and updated on social media where we fight for attention, approval, and affection from our fellow peers in the form of thumbs up, hearts, and emojis.
In today’s modern society, losing our smartphone or having its battery die on us while we’re out is equivalent to a mother losing its child; that won’t happen with the Flash Plus 2. With just 30 minutes of charging, this phone can last up to 10 hours’ worth of talk time. After putting it to the test, it didn’t actually last up to the full 10 hours but it did last eight hours as I did stalk my friends on Snapchat to see where they have gone without me.
One of the things that did cheese me off while charging was the phone overheating after just five minutes, which is something to be looked at.
Use Your Fingers Wisely
Instead of having to use a pattern, pin or password lock to protect your phone; you can now use your fingers. Boy has technology really come a long way. The sensor on the Flash Plus 2 is located on its home button where I can use my finger to unlock in any direction; even if the device is upside down, it could still be easily unlocked.
One of the great features of the scanner allows me to set up to five different fingers to open specific apps from the lock screen. Instead of wasting time unlocking your phone, looking up the app, pressing on it, and waiting for it to open, you can now spend time not wasted on social media with just one finger. You can even set private folders that are only accessible through your fingerprints, thus allowing you to keep things hidden from your girlfriend and/or wife (if you’re into that sort of stuff. Infidelity is bad guys).
