Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9: The legend continues
Xiaomi has announced the arrival of the long awaited Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro in Malaysia. The 11th of May is the date you want to look out for, with Xiaomi continuing the trend of virtual launches due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The show will kick off at 2PM and you can watch it live HERE.
The Redmi Note series has been offering some of the most incredible mid-range smartphones on the market, with over 110 million units sold across the globe according to Canalys, making it one of Xiaomi’s best-selling smartphone series.
As a testament to the global popularity of the Redmi Note series, the total global sales of Redmi Note 8 series have exceeded 30 million units, earning both the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 pro a spot each in the 2019 Global Top Smartphones list in Q4 2019.
This continuing success has contributed to an increase of 9% on Xiaomi’s worldwide smartphone shipments year-over-year (YoY) in the first quarter of 2020, according to the latest report by Canalys which was published on the 1st of May 2020.
The YoY increase of Xiaomi is also the fastest among all major smartphone manufacturers across the world despite the COVID-19 pandemic, beating out the likes of HUAWEI, Apple and Samsung.
Together with the previously launched Redmi Note 9S in March 2020, the new Redmi Note 9 smartphone lineup continues the legacy of the Redmi Note series with cutting edge design, features and innovation without the flagship price point.
The Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with an impressive quad-camera setup, long-lasting 5020mAh battery with fast charging, extraordinary performance with powerful SoCs, and a flagship-level DotDisplay.
Xiaomi will also be launching the Mi Note 10 Lite in Malaysia on the very same date. The all-new Mi Note 10 Lite offers premium display and versatile quad camera experience. Being part of the epic Mi Note 10 family, Mi Note 10 Lite also offers a versatile 64MP quad camera for every photography setting, fast and efficient SoC, and a massive 5,260mAh battery.
