Sorry, fans. Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t coming out later this year. Rockstar Games just released a memo saying it’s coming out Spring 2018 instead, and will be on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
According to the statement, this is the “first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans.”

“We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer.”
In the meantime, to appease any anger from the fans, and perhaps to tease the game for its release, they released a number of screenshots – and it’s looking really good if the screenshots are any indication.
