Tencent Games is bringing back the PUBG MOBILE National Championship (PMNC) 2023 for the fifth consecutive year, with Yoodo as the official telecommunications sponsor. The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 25 to December 31, 2023, encompassing open qualification rounds, group stages on December 16-17, and culminating with the Grand Finals on December 30-31.
The PMNC 2023 event will commence with the open qualification phase commencing on November 25. During this phase, teams from across Malaysia will compete, with only 64 teams advancing to the subsequent open qualification round on December 2, 2023.
After the qualification phase, the 16 qualified teams, which includes invited teams from PMPL Malaysia Fall, will vie for victory in the PMNC 2023 group stage held from December 16 to 17, 2023, with the goal of securing a place in the Grand Finals.
The Grand Finals are set to take place over two days on December 30 and 31, 2023, featuring the top eight teams from each group in the Group Stage. Importantly, all stages of the competition, from open qualification to the Grand Finals, will be conducted online.
The open qualification round provides more opportunities for participants to compete in PMNC 2023, reflecting the growing presence of PUBG MOBILE teams and players in Malaysia. This fosters a competitive environment and offers emerging talents a chance to shine and prepare for their future in the esports world.
Chow Tuck Mun, CEO of Yoodo, expressed their commitment to esports and their collaboration with Tencent Games. Since 2018, Yoodo has been working closely with Tencent Games, sharing the vision of nurturing local talent at the grassroots level. He believes the PMNC 2023 event serves as an excellent platform for supporting future esports players, identifying exceptional talents, and further enhancing the local video gaming and esports culture in Malaysia.
