PUBG 50-Player Team Deathmatch Mode Cancelled in 24 Hours

Developers BlueHole are pulling the plug on the PUBG 50-player team deathmatch mode event that they released recently. This comes after finding that the mode messed with servers, preventing players connecting to PUBG altogether.

The Desert Knights mode is a 50-player deathmatch; it has 10 teams of five going against each other in a section of the Miramar map. Desert Knight matches last for 15 minutes. In those 15 minutes players need to get kills and knockdowns to get points for your team. A kill is three points while a knockdown is one. A death or a knockdown on your own team however means losing five points. The first team to get 200 points or after 15 minutes has the most points wins.

Sadly, not many people actually played it because of the following:

The server error means players didn’t really have much time to try out the new mode. BlueHole also misses the weekend, peak playing time that could have really tested their new mode. It does seem as the lesser evil when the other option of leaving it up means no one could log in to PUBG though.
