PLKN 3.0: The Ministry Of Defence Malaysia Answered Public’s Confusion

Following the current issue of National Service Training Programme (PLKN) 3.0, it has been explained that the program targets Malaysians who were born in 2007, if it were to be implemented next year.

The Ministry of Defence Malaysia (MinDef), in a statement explained that, the program trainees will be selected based on their year of birth, and there will be a specific starting age for trainees to begin PLKN 3.0.

According to Harian Metro, MinDef also stated that if selected trainees are unable to participate in the national service training for valid reasons, they may apply for a deferment. This option do-able as the maximum age limit for trainees is up to 35 years old.

MinDef also hopes that this clarification can resolve the public’s confusion and concerns regarding the age requirement for PLKN 3.0 trainees.
