If you’re yearning to relive the old glory days of the original PlayStation era, this may be for you. Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the PlayStation Classic. This is a miniature games console that mirrors the look of the original PlayStation. It launches in limited quantities on 3rd December 2018, in North America, Europe, and Japan, at the retail price of USD99 (RM410).

The game comes preloaded with 20 original games, many of which are pop classics of that generation. Sony has not revealed the full list yet, but has noted Final Fantasy VII (Square Enix), Jumping Flash! (SIE), R4 Ridge Racer Type 4 (Bandai Namco Entertainment), Tekken 3 (Bandai Namco Entertainment), and Wild Arms (SIE) as some of the games you can expect.
Though this replicates the experience of the 1990s, the PlayStation Classic includes an HDMI cable for modern displays. It also has a USB cable which needs to be connected to a commercially sold USB AC Adaptor for power supply from the plug.
For select titles, players can enjoy multiplayer between friends using the two controllers included with the console. Additionally, a Reset button allows you to suspend the game at any time, which was not on the original console.
