Julius Caesar on setting foot in Britain for the first time reportedly said “Vidi vini vici” – I came, I saw, I conquered. The same could be said about the hundred odd guests who turned up at the annual awards night hosted by PC.com and Reach Publishing.

Emceed by the elegant Carey Ng, Miss Universe 2013, PC.com now in its 15^th year of publication, gave out 32 awards in different categories ranging from Best Gaming Laptop to Best Pre-paid Service Provider.

The tension in the hall went overdrive when Celcom took home the coveted Best Post Paid Service Provider Award, Maxis returned the volley when it nicked the Best Data Coverage Award. Needless to say there were quite a few more surprises in store among the other list of winners.

VIP’s attended were luminaries from the ICT industry and government sector, department heads from MDeC, Celcom, Digi, Epson, Microsoft and U Mobile graciously gave the awards to the deserving winners.

The Nomination

The Readers Choice Award nomination list were sent to PC.com readers in September with 3 nominees per category, readers will then tick one brand, their preferred choice. Nominees were selected by PC.com editorial team based on products reviewed in the magazine from October 2014 till September 2015 , winners were then chosen with the most vote.

In Full Force

Guests were feted to an evening of enjoyment and there was camaraderie among industry leaders coming together despite the heavy downpour that lasted hours till late. Guests from KL were not deterred despite being stuck in traffic for more than two hours.

The award presentation was accompanied with the title theme from Game of Thrones, Star Wars: The Imperial March and Star Wars Main Theme. Performance was provided by young and upcoming band Lukarts, serenading the audience in classy acoustic numbers. The dinner was capped off with a lucky draw which included premium smartphones and the grand prize tickets from Air Asia for 2 to China.
