Overwatch Turns One

Ever since its release last year, Overwatch has steadily grown to be one of the most popular video games for both console and PC gamers with Blizzard giving the game free reign over which platform works best. With the game turning one year old, Blizzard has introduced a bunch of new updates to its latest patch, which includes three new arena maps, new legendary skins and even a dance emote for each character! (which reminds me of Destiny).

The first of three new maps will be Castillo, an old fort looking out over Dorado’s bay in Mexico. Castillo boasts multiple levels and winding stairs to give you the strategic edge in battle while also giving you high ground advantage. Located on the outskirts of Eichenwalde lies Black Forest, a long-overlooked battlefield that still carries the remnants of wrecked Bastion units. The last map is Necropolis – the hideout of Ana, which holds plenty of vantage points at the top of the ruins for an easier assassination point and pits in the lower levels.

Another new additions would be a ton of new skins for the Overwatch heroes (11 to be exact) that includes the like of Genji, Hanzo, Mei, D.Va, Zarya and Lúcio to name a few. To know more about Overwatch’s one-year anniversary update, you can head to its website to read up on it.
