The Reno is OPPO’s latest attempt at reinventing the smartphone landscape. The biggest feature that sets the phone apart, is definitely the Sharkfin pop-up Camera. While it undoubtedly looks unique, if it has any advantages, remains to be seen. Overall, the camera feels like it’s just a gimmick, but maybe this could be the future of what smartphones look like. With a myriad of options and form factors, we’re bound to see more innovative designs.
While the price of Reno is set to be announced on 16th May 2019, OPPO will officially launch the phone on 27th May 2019. The Reno looks to be OPPO’s ultimate answer in their smartphone development. They want consumers to percieve it for the creatives, and it definitely shows. The main feature is also concentrating on the camera, which features a 10x Zoom. Not the most impressive out there, but it’s getting there.
OPPO is bringing the phone to Malaysian shores, but is it going to be able to set itself apart from other phones? Is the gimmick of it all, enough for the people? Looks like we’ll have to wait and see, if the OPPO Reno, is worth drowning for.
