OPPO Goes Premium With R7 Plus And Lite

7.7.2015 a date selectively chosen by OPPO Malaysia to launch their latest and proudest smartphone ever the OPPO R7. The fanfare started off with a 3 minute sketch performance by the electronic light troupe (alaTron) manipulating a green laser beam at the very posh Shangri-La ballroom here in KL.

The euphoria continued with the two models introduced during the night  OPPO R7 Plus with only the gold edition slated for the Malaysian market and the R7 lite, William Fang, Chief-Executive-Officer of OPPO Malaysia and Katrina Li, Overseas Brand Director of OPPO when on stage to rile up the guests and media with the announcement, the devices will arrive sometime in August 2015.
Katrina shared the philosophy behind the design of the phone being inspired that of a violin boasting a 2.5D Arc Edge display with a subtle curve on the edge of the screen for both models, the design aims to provide a more comfortable grip while giving it an artistic appearance she when on to add.

“We listen to our customers’ needs and requirements in a smartphone hence developed the two OPPO R7 series variants to meet various market demands. Our intense research and development, along with consistent innovation in creating a user-friendly and advanced smartphone technology will create seamless experiences for our users,” said William.
He added that since OPPO’s debut in Malaysia last year, the company managed to secure over 10% of market share, making the brand one-of-the top three smartphone brands in the country.

OPPO R7 Plus
The company’s latest flagship model, the OPPO R7 Plus, comes with a full metal unibody although feels a tad large for our liking at a dimension of 158.18mm X 82.3mm X 7.75 mm. The phone is equipped with their signature  VOOC Flash charging system,which claims to reduce charging time up to 50 per cent for the 4,100mHA large capacity battery. With only 5 minutes of charging time, the R7 Plus is powered up to 2 hours of talk time.
Built-in with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, the phone also incorporates the New Flash Shot technology used exclusively for the OPPO R7 series, featuring the new dual-drive hybrid focus system. This includes the laser focus, anti-shake optimisation, Contrast Detection Autofocus (AF) and the new Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) which ensures rapid launch, fast focus and stable images.
The screen is a 6-inch 16M AMOLED colour display with a full HD 1920 X 1080 pixel resolution, the OPPO R7 Plus is powered by a 64-bit Octa-Core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 processor clocking at 1.5GHz and is mated to a 3GB RAM.

 OPPO R7 Lite
The second variant, the OPPO R7 Lite, is a smaller version that operates similarly to the OPPO R7 Plus. In addition to the full metal  unibody, 2.5D curved screen, and processors, the lite version is made up with a 5-inch 16M AMOLED colour display that sits  comfortably at a dimension of 143mm X 71mm X 6.3mm.
OPPO R7 Lite is also equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, integrated with the New Flash  Shot technology featuring the new dual-drive hybrid focus system. This includes the anti-shake optimisation, Contrast Detection  Autofocus (AF) and the new Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF).

Availability of the phones are to be from August onwards with pre-orders starts from now, price for the R7 plus is RM1998 and the R7   lite is at RM1298.
