OPPO Beats Huawei & Xiaomi With Reno Launch; The First 5G Smartphone To Hit The European Market

While the S10 5G may have been the first commercially available 5G smartphone in Asia, the OPPO Reno has taken the crown of the first commercially available 5G smartphone to hit the European market, edging out Huawei and Xiaomi who are both releasing 5G devices in Switzerland this week.

OPPO’s began to sell Reno 5G smartphone in Switzerland yesterday, in partnership with Swisscom. The OPPO Reno 5G is now available at Swisscom shops across the country and on thr official website of Swisscom, starting from CHF 999 (Which is about 4000 Ringgit). It will be rolled out to additional markets worldwide over the coming months.

OPPO launched the revolutionary Reno series in the European market on April 24th. The Reno series includes Reno 5G, Reno 10x Zoom and Reno models, which all pack cutting-edge technology and exceptional photography into a unique, aesthetic design. The Reno 5G model features a full panoramic screen and conceals the front-facing camera, soft light and back flash within a Pivot-Rising Structure that rises on demand. It’s pretty much an unnecessary gimmick if you ask me but to each his own right? It also comes with a tri-lens rear camera which works to realize a full-focal-length of 16mm-160mm, thus achieving 10x hybrid zoom. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 mobile platform, comes with 8GB+256GB storage, and a 4,065mAh battery, which paired together drive an outstanding user experience.

No news on a Malaysian release date as of yet, but we’ll be sure to let you know if anything comes up.
