NVIDIA Reveals GTX1050 and GTX1050 TI Card Specs and Release Date!

NVIDIA have finally revealed the specs and release date of their upcoming GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti entry level GPUs. The cards, which will be available on the 25th of October 2016 are built on the company’s Pascal architecture and is aimed at budget-friendly builds.

Priced at just US$109 and US$139 respectively, these cards are designed to run most games at 1080p, with an emphasis on eSports.

Both these cards see a large performance improvement over cards like the GTX750, and have a TDP of a paltry 75W. Meaning you don’t even need a supplementary power connector from your PSU. They’re also pretty compact. Despite having a 2-slot design, both measure 5.7” in length. Both also have memory speeds of 7Gbps, but where the GTX1050 TI gets 4GB of GDDR5, the GTX1050 only gets 2GB.

Supporting DirectX 12_1, Vulcan and OpenGL 4.5 as standard, the only thing these cards seem to lack is any sort of VR-readiness. Looking at the specifications and number of board partners, it seems like NVIDIA want to put pressure on AMD and their RX460 card.
