For those who found registering to fit their vehicle’s with Touch n Go RFID a hassle due to the many documents and information requirements, this will be a welcome news. TNG heard your cries and is now introducing a simpler method for the free RFID.
Now all you need is your ID as long as your car information can be found on Sureplify (https://www.sureplify.com/tng/#/). The site will require users to type in their car registration number (number plate), IC and mobile number, once done the screen will indicate the insurance expiry date. If that goes through just bring your NRIC/Driving License/Passport (if non-Malaysian).
However if you’re not the owner of the car, ann authorisation letter from the car owner is required if the Touch ‘n Go eWallet account holder and the car owner are different. The authorisation letter can be downloaded from the TNG website.
For those who are unable to retrieve their car information from Sureplify, they are advised to bring along a copy of Vehicle Ownership Certificate (Grant) or a valid Insurance Cover Note.
This comes after many car owners complained about the tedious process and documentation required for the RFID service.
