Long overdue Android upgrade to the ZenFone 3 Zoom is finally here. Customers can now take advantage of all the wonderful features of Nougat 7.1.1 on their smartphone.

The purpose built ZenFone 3 Zoom which taps into the photography segment of mobile users will benefit from the latest OS upgrade with various customisation options. What you will notice is some subtle changes in the UI. Gone is the dedicated switch to Manual Mode (though you can always just tap the Modes button and switch from there) and is now replaced with a Portrait Mode button, which you can tap to switch. Other notable features include multi-window view, notification-screen replies, and special changes on settings.

ASUS has also made several updates to its ZenUI interface that will work in tandem with the OS update, users can expect a notification for the software update on their phones, and can also check for the update by navigating to ‘System Update’ on their ‘Settings’ screen. Among the new features not to be missed, Multi-Window View – Run two apps side by side, Quick App Switch – Switch between apps with a double tab, Notification Directly Reply – Reply to messages right inside the notification screen, 72 New Emojis – Select new emoji genders and skin tones, Data Saver – Limit how much data the device uses, Notification Controls – Choose app notification preferences and Display Size – Change the size of texts and icons.
