Nintendo is releasing its first original mobile RPG, Dragalia Lost, on 27th September 2018. Co-developed alongside Cygames, the game will have an initial launch in the US, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau. Cygames is a prominent mobile game developer, known for popular titles such as Shadowverse and Granblue Fantasy.

Nintendo revealed Dragalia Lost through a 13-minute long Nintendo Direct segment, detailing gameplay, growth, multiplayer, and summoning.
Gameplay
Your main character is the seventh heir of the Alberian royal family. To save the kingdom, he establishes an age-old ‘pactbound’ with the dragon called Mirdgardsormr, giving him the ability to transform into a dragon himself.
You can recruit allies throughout your journey. Allies are divided into the Attack, Defense, Support, and Healing classes, as well as Flame, Water, Wind, Light, and Dark elements. These represent roles, strengths, and weaknesses of each adventurer.

Players can attack and dodge easily easily by tapping and swiping. They can also use skills, change between party members, and send emotive stamps without having to open up a menu.
Growth
Nintendo also went into detail on character growth in this game. Leveling up and equipment upgrades should be familiar to RPG enthusiasts. However, Dragalia Lost will also have an attribute tree known as the Mana Circle, and a city-building-like mode called the Halidom.
Summoning
These kind of games are known for their summoning mechanics, and Dragalia Lost is no different. The game divides summoning into three sections; characters, dragons, and wyrmprints.
Characters and dragons represent allies and transformations. Duplicate summons will earn you a resource called Eldwater. With this, even characters with a low star rating can eventually move up to 5 stars.
Wyrmprints, on the other hand, appear as artwork and are described as ‘an amulet or talisman.’ Each wyrmprint provides different boons to the adventurer equipping it.
Multiplayer
Last but not least, Dragalia Lost will have multiplayer available for most of its modes. You can team up with up to four players to engage in quests. Nintendo also teased raids, where many players unite to take down a massive foe.
