Pokémon Go developer, Niantic is taking its mistakes a bit more seriously and decides to delay a handful of upcoming events. It seems that they want to make sure that the disaster they experienced during the first-ever Pokémon Go Fest in Chicago does not repeat itself.

The events that were announced to be launched in Denmark, Czech Republic, Sweden and The Netherlands this August are now postponed until “a date later in the fall”. However, the even in Japan that will happen in the same month is still going according to plan, along with September events in France, Spain and Germany.

Although the Pokémon Go Fest in Chicago was not specifically mentioned, it’s pretty clear that the problems associated with it is causing the delay. Some issues have been taken care of, in the expense of refunding in-game credits to disappointed players.

This time, Niantic is also offering a little bonus for the European players: higher chances to run into rarer Pokémon. “As a special surprise, we understand that some Pokémon that are rarely seen in Europe will be appearing soon in certain European cities for a limited time. So keep your eyes peeled!”
