New LRT Trains For Kelana Jaya Route Will Reduce Wait Time

Prasarana Malaysia the operator for Klang Valley LRT commuter service will be adding 27 new train sets for the Kelana Jaya route, apart from sleeker looks the Bombardier Innovia Metro 300 trains will have 4 carriages and allow higher passenger capacity.

However the impressive new trains will also be reducing waiting from 3 minutes to 2 minutes further acceleration the movement of people during these unprecedented times. Stations will be less crowded this way and clearing of passengers will be more efficient. The larger interior of the trains gives added comfort and eases those who are apprehensive of crowded trains. Anyway with waiting time of just 2 minutes, users can afford to wait for next train if there are too many passengers on the first one.

Luckily the timing can be never better with the new trains coming online, Kelana Jaya route is one of the busiest servicing 37 stations, spanning across 46.4 km and serves approximately 95 million riders a year.

The trains are currently being completed with additional accessory being fixed and were told the latest arrival to the tracks not later than early next year.
