Looking for a tablet to play your games and consume (or even create) content? Well Apple has just announced a refresh of their tablet line, now simply called the iPad. It replaces the iPad Air 2, and features the 64-bit A9 chip, first seen in the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. This is on top of the new (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus announcement.
The screen size stays the same, but the dimension of the tablet itself has changed – it is now 7.5mm thick instead of 6.1mm thick, and 469 grams (Wi-Fi only) instead of 437 grams. The height and width remain the same. You can’t order the Rose Gold colour with the new iPad however as that colour is special only to the iPad Pro line.

“New customers and anyone looking to upgrade will love this new iPad for use at home, in school, and for work, with its gorgeous Retina display, our powerful A9 chip, and access to the more than 1.3 million apps designed specifically for it,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

If you have the cash, the new iPad will start from RM 1,549 all the way to RM 2,649 with the full connectivity (WiFi + Cellular) option. The model is set to arrive on Malaysian shores by end April or early may through the webstore or authorised retailers here.
