Netflix has given the green light to renew another season for the acclaimed series that discusses on sensitive topics like sexuality, relationship and identity, Sex Education starring X-Files fame Gillian Anderson takes place at a high school.

Having been viewed by over 40 million households, a threshold that gives reason for Netflix to give it a second season blessing, will get another 8 episode with production to begin in UK this March. Along Gillian,  Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Tanya Reynolds, Patricia Allison and Alistair Petrie are set to reprise their roles. Creator Laurie Nunn will return as creator and executive producer with Jamie Campbell set to executive produce alongside Nunn. Eleven will continue as the production company for the second season of the breakout series.
