Netflix Is Trying Out A Shuffle Play Button; Is This The Solution For Our Inability To Decide What To Watch?

If you’ve subscribed to Netflix, then you would completely understand being in a position where you find yourself scrolling through the homepage looking for something to watch. I myself have been in that situation countless of times, and by the time I do decide on a movie or series to watch, an hour or so has passed and I have some other place to be.

That being said, Netflix is taking a feature straight out of Spotify by testing with a new “Shuffle Play” button that could potentially be the solution to the paradox of choice we’re faced with on a daily basis. With the sheer amount of titles on the streaming platform, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed with it all.

How it works is Netflix will take into account all the titles you’ve watched previously as well as those you’ve saved on your list before making an informed choice on your “random” tv show/movie. The idea behind it all is simple, and that is to help viewers find content that’s tailored to their tastes as easily and quickly as possible.

If you ask us, it’s a great way for people who aren’t quite sure what to watch to actually spend more time on enjoying the movie or tv show rather than scrolling through Netflix vast library of titles. It also adds an element of fun to it all because let’s be real here you’re not really sure what you’re going to get, and even if you get something really bad, at least you can say it’s bad because you know, you’ve watched it.

Let us know what you think about it in the comments.
