Netflix has recently released the latest version of its iOS app with some pretty useful and convenient updates. The new version of the app added 10-seconds forward and back buttons, which can also be controlled by double tapping the left or right side of the screen. As we know, the previous playback features on the app may be annoying at times as it would zoom into the screen if you do the typical gestures like you would on other platforms like YouTube.

As the playback features on Netflix are now similar as the one in YouTube, users may find a smoother and perhaps more familiar experience with the app. The play / pause button too has been improved by making it a tad larger than before. This may help to ease users using the app for long periods of time, watching their favorite TV series and movies.

Furthermore, the update also features a row off labels at the bottom, which indicate the Episodes list, the Audio control, Subtitles menu, and a “Next Episode” button. These new features are absolutely necessary as Netflix is moving towards optimizing marathon binge for their users. Users are now able to binge properly even on their mobile phones or tablets having also the same experience as watching a proper TV.

With this new update, Netflix is bringing their iOS app much closer to its TV counterpart making a more consistent viewing experience. The Netflix iOS app can be downloaded for free from the App Store.
