NEC has introduced their first ever curved ultrawide display, the MultiSync EX341R-BK. Despite being 34″ wide, it’s not a gaming monitor, and NEC doesn’t intend to sell these to gamers.

That’s because its refresh rate isn’t too high, at just 60Hz. NEC have targetted commercial and professional users who are interested in a 21:9 aspect ratio. Other key specs include its 3440X1440 resolution, 290 nits brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 5 ms response time.

The monitor can be bought as is or with the Spyder5 colour calibration sensor and SpectraView II software. In terms of connectivity, the EX341R will support DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4 and 2.0, quad USB3.0 ports, 2 USB type-B upstream ports. It’s rated at 99.5% sRGB too. Prices start at just under US$1000.
