Moto is putting Alexa into their Moto Mods. Motorola announced that Amazon’s AI Alexa will be available as a Moto Mod for Moto Z.
Moto Mods was a popular reason for fans wanting choice and flexible changes they can use for their phones. With the Alexa Moto Mod, you can controlling your smart home, checking the news, requesting a ride from services like Uber, and more — using just your voice. For example, when you start your commute home, you can ask Alexa to adjust your home’s temperature so it’s comfortable when you get there. Or, you can add milk to your shopping list without ever picking up a pen.
Motorola said that later this year, they’ll add Alexa integration into Moto phones, and you won’t have to unlock the phone first.
Adding to the Moto Mods family is the Moto Power Pack. This Moto Mod will instantly add 50% more battery to your phone, without adding bulk. It has a special efficiency mode, which automatically charges your phone to keep efficiency at its peak. The Moto Power Pack will be available starting in March for $49USD/€49 (approx. RM 220).
Other Moto Mods coming will be power-focused, including a wireless charging Moto Mod, a Turbo Power Moto Mod and a charging adaptor. For the summer release, they are teasing the Gamepad Moto Mod, that transforms phone into a mobile gaming console by adding physical controls, an integrated battery, etc.
