Exciting times ahead for e-Sports fans as 16 StarCraft II players and 8 DOTA 2 teams from five continents vie for the top spot at the MSI Beat IT 2014 Global Grand Finals in Taipei, Taiwan. Kicking off with a push of a button, MSI executives and event ambassador, Lan Chang, stood on stage with the participants, who were eagerly waiting for the games to begin.

This is MSI’s 5th endeavour in hosting the annual gaming tournament, and it is the first time that it is being held in the company’s country of origin. Last year’s edition, featuring Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) saw team VeryGames emerging as champions. After more than four months of intense play-offs between players and teams across 120 countries – with more than 750 games played, finalists converged at the ATT Show Box in Taipei to have the a stake at win the grand prize totalling over US$113,500.
