Shopee presents iPhone 11 to Apple lovers 10 hours ahead of time

In this day and age, it’s all about being the first to own the latest gadget, especially when it comes to the latest Apple products. It’s not uncommon to see people line up hours in advance just to get their hands on the latest iPhone or Macbook at launch.

Does it make sense? No. But then again, a lot of things don’t really make sense to me anymore. Regardless, Shopee has somehow managed to outmaneuver the likes of Maxis, Digi and Celcom to bring it’s customers the iPhone 11 a full 10 hours before it’s local release.

Simon Chen Yuen Keong, 32, is the first in Malaysia to receive the highly coveted all-new iPhone 11 at Shopee Malaysia’s headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. He purchased a unit of 128GB iPhone 11 in Black.

The IT Manager from Subang Jaya was ecstatic to get his hands on the latest gadget. Chen said, “I am excited to know that not only am I a proud owner of the new iPhone 11, but also the first in Malaysia to receive it! Initially, I planned on getting the iPhone XR, but saw the news about iPhone 11 and the freebies and cashback offers that came with it if I purchased on Shopee. Now that I have the phone, I can’t wait to try it out, especially the camera.”

Joining Chen at Shopee Malaysia’s headquarters were more than 50 other Shopee users who eagerly waited for the iPhone 11, of which collection began at 12am sharp. This meant that they got the device 10 hours ahead of iPhone 11’s official release time in Malaysia.

The iPhone 11 series is available in six colours: white, black, green, yellow, purple and red starting from RM3,399.
