Moto X4 Camera Does More Than Take Pictures

Motorola was quite at IFA this year but still managed to impress visitors with the ordinary looking Moto X4, with its intelligent camera that can be used for more than just picture taking.

With a feature called Landmark Detection, the Moto X4 camera lens can be pointed at any object around and will automatically ask if you want to learn more about what you’re seeing. Its like google search image has been implanted in its processors, we can already imagine the various uses for this feature. It can even be used to scan a business card without the need of any third party apps. But the highlight doesn’t stop there, Motorola has incorporated Alexa into the X4, users can launch the digital assistant even without unlocking the device. However, we are not sure this feature will work in Malaysia since Amazon has yet to release the service in here.

Apart from that, the mid range X4 (Euro 400) is just another plain Jane smartphone, a dual 12MP and 8MP rear cameras with a new beta background colour changing feature. The 16MP front camera comes with an adaptive low light mode made for better selfie taking.

Despite being a mid range smartphone, customers are spoilt with specifications reserved for premium models, like the IP68-rated water resistant anodised aluminum frame and a Corning Gorilla Glass back and front. Power comes from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 2.2 GHz octa-core processor, and the 3000mAh battery will last a whole day.
