Easing of the MCO is further initiated, MITI will be giving allowance to three more sub-sectors to operate under the phase 3 which extends to April 28.

Minister, Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi gave notice that the three sub sectors includes hardware, electrical however not telecommunication or IT and full service laundry centres. These were initially mentioned during the phase 3 implementation but no indication were given when they can operate.

Businesses will  have to submit their application to operate and MITI will vet through before giving any approval. However, only application that meets the Standard Operation Procedure and completed in accordance to regulation will be considered. Another caveat will be for those applying will have to ensure their premise is not located in the Red or Yellow zone or have been under the Enhanced Movement Control Order. Consideration will also be based on guidelines meted out the National Security Council, the Health Ministry and local enforcement terms.

The opening up of more shops from different sector will be welcomed by thousands, who are looking to get their clothes laundered, fix or change their electrical appliances and use the available to repair their homes.

Outlets will have to strictly adhere to the guidelines or will have the possibility of having their operating license revoked.
