The highly anticipated M5 World Championship Wild Card, introduced by Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Esports, is set to commence at the JioSpace arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from November 23rd to 26th.
This inaugural event brings together eight international teams from diverse regions, including China, East Europe and Central Asia (EECA), Latin America, Malaysia, Mekong, Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and South Asia. Noteworthy is the debut of teams from Mongolia, Nepal, and China on the global MLBB esports stage.
One standout return is the comeback of Sasa, a prominent MLBB player, competing under Team SMG. This seasoned player, champion of the eighth season of MPL Malaysia and recent Season 12 runner-up, adds excitement to the championship.
Qiddiya, the giga project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, headlines as the Global Presenting Partner for the M5 World Championship, elevating the fan experience with immersive online and offline activations. Arnab Bhattacharya, Director of Strategy for esports and gaming at Qiddiya, highlighted the event’s significance, aligning with their vision to be a leading entertainment, sports, and cultural destination globally.

The M5 Wild Card features a Group Stage followed by Crossover Matches. Eight teams will compete, culminating in top teams vying for a spot at the M5 World Championship in Manila. The competition, streamed in multiple languages, offers a diverse and inclusive viewing experience for global audiences.
